QA Tester - LondonQuality Assurance Tester / QA Tester ::: £50,000 - £70,000 plus bonus
An experienced QA tester is required to join an International Leader in the trading industry based in the city of London.
To be considered for this position you will be an accomplished software QA Tester with a clear understanding of the full SDLC and previous experience within the trading industry. A self-motivated character with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach is needed to work alongside Test / QA experts.
o 5+ years software quality assurance (QA) - MUST HAVE.
o 3+ years' experience of working for a trading company, exchange or at a trading industry vendor - MUST HAVE.
o Some basic level skills at writing scripts - MUST HAVE.
o Linux environment testing - MUST HAVE.
o Able to use SQL for data verification.
o Messaging systems test experience.
o Experience of options trading applications, front-end trader facing applications, middleware request routing systems, market data systems or other exchange systems.
o Some previous experience of non-commercial tools for automating functional tests.
o Keen to execute and design manual and automated tests.
Any knowledge of performance testing and/or defect tracking software (Fogbugz) would be beneficial.
As the QA Tester you will be task orientated, working within an expert team who understand the importance of customer satisfaction. The key responsibilities of the QA Tester will be;
* Maintaining and supporting the UK QA test environments including; application deployment, application configuration, environment dashboard integration, and monitoring system integration.
* End to end testing of software solutions for quoting and trading.
* Assist the Technology Director in providing support for all UK trading activities. This will include production applications support and dev support.
* Writing of test plans and cases to reflect requirements.
* Work alongside Developers to isolate and document issues.
* Assist the Development and TSO in issue triage resolution.
* Initiate deployment and dependency discussions with TSO prior to the completion of testing
* Run operational performance monitoring tests to establish baselines for CPU, memory and network utilisation for software
* Develop test scripts for automation of functional and performance based tests
* Document and update the QA testing process, test scripts, test results and related material in an organised and thorough manner
