Description
Computer Futures have a new opportunity to work as part of the 3rd Line Technical Server Support Team for a key client based in Gloucester. You will have to provide a support and project service to all users to ensure hardware and software meets user and business requirements. To provide ongoing support of all Wintel server based systems.Role responsibilities:
1. To provide technical expertise, support and advice on all aspects of Server hardware and software.
2. To provide technical solutions for software and hardware on all platforms to all computer users, to influence and support users in their business objectives.
3. To respond to help desk queries and identify those problems which require immediate investigation, and then to resolve the issue within the appropriate timescales to ensure minimal disruption to the business.
4. To review and provide input on operational implications of new and revised technology and server systems to ensure compatibility with the current technical infrastructure.
5. To support and install software in an efficient and controlled environment liaising fully with business areas and external suppliers to meet the requirements of the business.
6. To establish and maintain sound relations with business areas so that I.T can identify business objectives and that user requirements are clearly understood.
7. To seek out ways and put forward ideas for improving productivity and creating business opportunities.
8. To establish and maintain appreciation of new technological and software developments for the benefit of the department and wider company.
9. To provide technical expertise on all aspects of our IT environment.
