Sr. Project Manager - SDLC - Payment Processing Industry

Summary:

In this role as Sr. Project Manager you will manage large-scale Development SDLC Projects. The ideal candidate is a strong Project Manager generalist with excellent communication skills, and has a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing SDLC projects in a Matrix environment. Your responsibilities will include: authoring and managing the project plan inclusive of clarifying business benefits, stakeholder engagement, scoping and estimating, project resource coordination, budget management, driving cross-functional team deliverables and schedules, hitting target milestones, managing assigned projects according to plan, risk and issue management; and collaborating closely with stakeholders during the complete project life cycle. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. Local candidates only. Working directly with customers or through affiliations with banks, our client serves more than one million people in the retail, hospitality, airline, health care, education, and public sectors.

Qualifications:

  • A dynamic, results-oriented, detail-driven project/program manager with 5-8 years of project management experience
  • Payment Processing or Credit Card Services Industry Experience
  • Expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects involving challenging requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines
  • Expertise in developing financial/work estimates and of budget tracking
  • Familiarity with software project and project management concepts, practices and procedures including familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project
  • Database and data warehousing experience a must
  • Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule development
  • Demonstrated ability to make project assessments, and to intervene as required to get projects on track
  • Expertise in both written and interpersonal communication, in relationship building, working with internal & external clients, and in collaboration in a cross-functional team comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets, and levels of experience
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
