Description
Excel VBA Expert needed for detailed requirements, design, and implementation of a large scale accounting, budget planning, forecasting, and tracking tool. The Excel VBA tool will interact with 100+ users and multiple Excel files on a shared drive. The macro must perform complex analysis, rule checking, and summarization in a near Real Time batch process. The batch process must include error checking with automated email and reports based on configurable triggers. Additional duties may include development and operation of data quality scripts to improve reporting and analysis accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Work with key individuals to extract detailed functional requirements.
- Design, code, test, and maintain complex Excel macros to meet the detailed specifications.
- Design and develop user input Excel files.
- Design and develop roll-up/summary Excel files with automated reports.
- Implement a fully automated batch process to update results/summaries in near Real Time.
- Improve reporting and analysis accuracy thru data quality activities and verification.
- Provide application training to 100+ users.
Bachelor's degree in technical/related field; or 4 years related experience in lieu of degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Must be an expert problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Expertise in MS Excel, specifically VB development, is required.
Desired: up to three years of experience in accounting and budget management.
