RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates work with and may direct the work of analysts, supervisors, operations and maintenance personnel, and other internal and external support groups on varying projects and programs.
  • Manages projects and programs, typically of moderate size and complexity.
  • Leads multi-discipline project teams.
  • Develops project budgets, specifications, schedules and authorizations.
  • Manages and implements project designs, construction and commissioning.
  • Maintains project records.
  • Coordinates project design and construction needs and activities with engineering consultants, contractors and internal support personnel.
  • Participates on multi-discipline project teams and assists Lead Engineers and others on more complex or larger projects and programs; performs assigned project duties.
  • Performs detailed designs of electrical power (high and low voltage), instrumentation and control systems including Microprocessor based), and system protection/relaying system for existing system modifications and new additions.
  • Develops internal and external reports and related correspondence, including but not limited to construction status, inspections, action plans, license compliance and environmental related, project audits and assigned project budget variance.
  • Initiates and coordinates the procurement of materials and services including but not limited to: bidding, bid evaluations, award recommendations and preparation of purchase requisitions.

  • Performs and assists others to develop engineering and economic analyses to recommend generating facility improvements.
  • Develops, implements and coordinates capital, maintenance, operations and regulatory compliance program procedures and standards.
  • Coordinates and performs system and facility inspections.
  • Provides technical and engineering guidance to field personnel and others as needed to complete analyses, drawings, projects, maintenance and operational activities, and project implementation.
  • Performs other required assignments including but not limited to: license compliance matters, production and analysis of data, interaction with federal, state, and local agencies, generation/electric emergency/storm response support; safety related activities and training others in specific programs, processes and procedures.
SKILLS

Ability to successfully implement multiple projects/assignments concurrently; Ability to integrate Operations, Maintenance, Regulatory and Modification Project requirements into comprehensive plans that meet group and company strategic goals for safety, quality, cost and schedule; Must possess solid analytical, problem-solving skills with primary focus on electrical, instrumentation and control systems; Must possess solid project management skills; Must possess a basic understanding of accounting and project budget cost estimating; Must be results oriented and work proactively to achieve the required results; Must possess the ability to work on small and moderately sized projects with limited direction; Must possess the ability to work in team settings; Must be skilled in desktop and corporate computer systems including Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Projects, Excel, Access); Must possess a Bachelor's of Engineering in electrical engineering or equivalent education and experience; Must have three (3) years minimum of relevant electrical engineering experience.
