This client is seeking a highly skilled, visionary Mobile Applications Engineer to lead its next generation development activities. This position will be based in San Diego, but they are open to someone working remotely up to 75% of the time - with short term travel to San Diego on a monthly basis at company's expense. They would prefer a temp-to-hire but will also consider a direct hire for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
- Lead gathering business requirements, interfacing with cross-functional team
- Translate complex business requirements into technical design specifications for all aspects of mobile development with a strong focus on HTML5
- Design, develop and implement cutting edge mobile solutions ensuring exceptional UX , spanning native and non-native web apps
- Accountable for high quality and on time delivery and roll out of all mobile projects
- Lead the mobile development team including mobile developers and QA engineers
- Must have extensive experience designing and implementing HTML5 applications targeting iOS and Android devices with and without native web view wrappers
- Must have experience working with users in a leading requirements gathering and analysis role
- Must have strong experience in jQuery/jQuery mobile and other similar frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
