Graphic Web Designer - International IT Company - Dublin - 12mth Contract Initially
The Role;
My Client is looking for a Graphic Designer who is passionate about E-commerce and usability to help run their world-class E-commerce platform. To enable consistent direct-to-consumer customer commerce across all their clients products and services.
Responsibilities will be split between Graphic Design and Usability work, but include;
Processing assets (scan, crop, resize, reformat, colour-correct, or otherwise manipulate) as needed.
Producing appropriate website creatives to support Marketing Campaigns.
Designing new modules for the E-commerce stores in accordance with business needs from conception through mock-up to partnering developers during implementation.
Offering creative solutions for optimising current site templates.
Ensure designs meet style guide and other visual guidance requirements.
Take ownership of projects, working with content, merchandising, category and design teams to complete work requests.
The possibility of occasional print-based requests to support local initiatives.
Experience Required;
3+ years relevant web design experience (essential in all cases)
1+ year of E-commerce experience
1+ year of User Experience/Usability design experience
A natural flair for design going beyond the ability to just layout all the required elements on a page.
Strong Adobe CS skills.
Solid understanding of design principles in layout, typography, color and image optimization.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to quality check own work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus skills to have but not required for the role.
Experience working with localised content in multiple languages.
Fluency in a European language other than English would be an advantage.
