Mechanical Design Engineer - Defence - Solidworks
Amoria Bond are currently searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer (Solidworks) - for long term (6-8 Months initial) contract based in the Midlands.
Our client is a leading manufacturing company who design, manufacture & supply a range of electronic cabinet systems for a variety of industries including the defence industry. They have a number of current projects needing additional support, and require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a long term basis.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer (Solidworks) - should demonstrate the following background:
* Degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or similar (preferred - HND/HNC Considered with relevant experience)
* You will have worked for or within the Defence industry
* Experience in the design of cabinet housing, ruggedized or subsea equipment.
* Experienced with 3D CAD system Solidworks or similar
* Experienced with MOD regulations ie DEF-STAN would be an advantage
* The ability to work under pressure to deliver projects.
* The use of FEA tools such COSMOS or ANSYS
* You will have worked with material such as Aluminium, Composites & Plastics
* Use of CFD/FEA tools for stress analysis
