Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job type: Contract initially until December with strong possible extension through 2014.

Location: Cheshire easily commutable from Stoke, Crewe, Liverpool and with excellent access from North Wales.
Salary: Up to £17.82 hourly rate LTD

Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit a number of engineering technicians for contract roles on behalf of a client.

The Client:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

The Job:
Looking to recruit Engineering technicians who will be responsible for the conduct of engineering tasks within the Small Arms Ammunition Product and Process Development programme area.
Conduct design and development activities on discrete SAA design projects.
Co-ordinate the manufacture of components and ammunition for test and trials purposes, including liaison with technicians on the manufacturing processes.
Conduct trials in a safe and suitable manner, from the trials planning stage to completion of the trial, and the presentation of the data.
Preparation of technical documentation including specifications and reports.
Presentation of data to internal customers/colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications:
BTEC (HND/HNC) or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in product development and/or volume manufacturing processes.
Must be fully computer literate.
Need to be eligible to gain security clearance
