Software Engineer /12 Months/Netherlands/Competitive Rate
For my client, I'm urgently looking for Software Engineer - Oracle, PL/SQL (60%) and J2EE Java (40%).
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day database design, SQL development, unit testing, and maintenance
- Strong SQL skills to provide multiple data extracts for business reporting and data sharing processes.
- Strong Java skills to build end user screens on transactional Systems
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair live systems quickly and efficiently.
- Support and maintain existing software solutions
- Elaboration of functional requirements provided by the business
- Design and creation of Proofs of Concept
- Ensuring non-functional requirements are met
- Ensure knowledge transfer between the solutions team, the service desk and other business representatives as appropriate.
- Documentation of applications and data process at both high-level business and low-level technical details.
Key experience and skills:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 5 years experience in Oracle(9i/10g/11g), in particular SQL, PL/SQL
- At least 5 years experience in J2EE Java
- Knowledge of architecture and n-tier designs that utilize Application Servers, Database Servers and multi-tiered development environments
- Business Objects experience is a pre,
- Working within a UNIX -based environment - UNIX Shell Scripting
- Knowledge of the full software development cycle
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to work hands-on in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrable ability of self learning and self motivation
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
