The Solution Architect role will see you responsible for providing architecture guidance on bleeding-edge development and strategic initiatives. You will participate, guide and drive the ongoing definition, development and re-use of enterprise-wide business services.Will work with clients to define appropriate options for application integration and drive best practices across integration, java and digital projects. You will collaborate with the project delivery teams throughout project lifecycles to ensure architectural compliance. Must ensure the leveragability of existing and new components and services.
Will need to provide mentorship and hands-on assistance to project teams on the appropriate use of UML and model driven development approaches with the identification of new tools and methodologies to facilitate application delivery efforts. Provide hands-on mentorship on OpenSource and Java related technology related project initiatives.
Ideally you should also have strong experience pre-sales and RFP, RFI, Proposals & PoC Presentations right through to Solution Design within a client facing environment.
- Seven + year's overall hands-on IT experience, including 5 years object-oriented analysis, design and development experience
- Five years' experience defining application integration architecture for large complex systems
- Hands-on design and development experience with enterprise-scale distributed applications (integration applications, EAI, SOA, JEE and Digital Services)
- Hands-on experience with UML, producing logical architecture and design models
- Hands-on experience designing, integrating, and/or re-engineering applications using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles
- 5+ years' experience with leveraging XML for defining interfaces, contracts and configurations. SOAP, REST, WCF
- Strong technical ability around Java / Development Services and solutions
- Understanding of Pre-Sales technical activity or a desire to learn/ develop this
- Experience with software / open source frameworks
- Hands-on experience implementing services using the Web Services
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Application Patterns
- Strong written & oral communication skills, ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
