Description
A Renewable Energy Operator is looking for a WTG Technical Manager/Support for one of their European Offshore Wind Project. This individual will report to the Package Manager and manage all technical design issues and interfaces for the WTG package. This is an all-round job with initial focus on tender support, document review, and negotiations supported by a contracts manager; and later moving towards a more technical nature.Responsibilities:
- Manage the provision of technical specification in the invitation to tender documentation in collaboration with other technical experts
- Ensure project specific requirements are included in the specifications
- Handle technical queries from suppliers during the tender process
- Participate in meetings with suppliers caring for all technical issues
- Perform technical evaluation of the suppliers` tenders
- Collaborate with client`s Asset Management in relevant technical matters
- Handle document management for all technical documentation
- Manage the iterative design process from the WTG package
- Manage design interface issues to the foundation and cable packages in collaboration with the project Interface Manager
- Collaborate with project Quality Manager on quality related issues
- Collaborate with project HSSE Manager on HSSE design related issues
- Ensure WTG Contractor meets technical requirements
- Provide WTG Contractor with project technical information
- Provide technical information to Project Certifier (DNV or similar) and BSH (German authority)
- Provide technical WTG information to Marine Warranty Surveyor
