Graduate Tester / Graduate Test ConsultantA medium sized consultancy, market leaders in the field specialising in software quality seek ambitious, innovative Graduates with a logical and inquisitive mind to join them as a Consultant specialising in Automated and Non-Functional testing.
As a Graduate Test Consultant you will be based in their ideally situated and easily accessible London offices and expected to travel. You will be working on client sites, at some of Europe's largest private and public sector organisations, on testing projects varying in length comprising of;
*Defining the appropriate methods of systems testing.
*Coding tests in VB Script.
*The creation and preparation of test environments and test data.
*Requirement analysis.
*Analysing the results, including investigating developed code, server logs and network statistics.
*Writing and presenting reports and updates.
The Graduate Test Consultant will receive full training in the best test tools, gaining industry qualifications, whilst receiving full support and rewards.
To be considered for the position of Graduate Test Consultant you will have knowledge of software quality management, release and testing process.You will have strong knowledge of programming and development with an understanding of HTML, HTTP and web applications. You will have the ability to write SQL queries with an understanding of databases, networking protocols and general application architecture.
A pro-active attitude and strong communication skills are required as you will need to be comfortable delivering presentations at a later date. Please note that this position requires extensive travel working on huge household names in; Banking, Finance, Retail, Telecoms, Insurance and Energy throughout Europe with generous expenses offered.
As the Graduate Test Consultant good organisation skills are a must and the ability to solve problems, find solutions and work independently as well as in a team as well as;
*MScor PhD in a relevant field (or a good 1st from a top university)
*Programming skills in any of the following languages .Net, VB, Java, HTML, SQL, C
*Excellent presentation skills for technical and business stakeholders
*Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTML, IP, SSH, TCP/IP.
*Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) knowledge.
Although not essential any knowledge of the following would be beneficial;
*Mobile applications and underlying technology
*Enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP
*Oracle Application Testing Suite and/or HP QTP
*Quality Center
*LoadRunner
*The testing v-model
*Test process improvement
*Test automation
*Performance Engineering
The Graduate Test Consultant will receive a salary of £30,000 plus generous expenses. More importantly you will receive continued and on-going support in your career including full training and industry qualifications. You will do so whilst working on some of the biggest projects at household names throughout Europe.
