Description
Computer Futures are seeking a Systems Analyst to join a key client based in Gloucestershire.You will be tasked with tasked with maximising the value realised from the company's ERP systems and business applications. A good strong background in MS SQL and BI tools is essential. This person needs to really understand business and preferably manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance and support of company ERP /MRP systems
- Development and implementation of procedures and work instructions for key business systems (ERP / MRP etc.)
- Report writing (Dashboards, KPI reports, output documents, other custom reports)
- Data migration, extracting and importing across dissimilar platforms (e.g. Oracle and MS SQL)
- General system administration tasks for ERP/MRP systems (e.g. user profiles, security, batch processing etc.)
- Development, maintenance and support of MS SQL services
- 1st / 2nd / 3rd Level application support for key business systems
- Process mapping and procedural documentation
- Change control of issues and new developments (business requirements, documentation of the requirement, deployment of development for testing and production with relevant communications)
- Training of new business users on key business systems (ERP / MRP etc.)
KEY SKILLS:
- Must be able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the manufacturing sector and experience with SQL based MRP/ERP business system
- Strong Analytical skills
- Microsoft SQL R2/2012) incl SSAS, SSRS, DBA, Scripting stored procedures etc.
- Experience using BI (Business intelligence) tools
- Must have sound understanding of manufacturing best practices
- XML
- Report Writing (Crystal Reports SQL Server Reporting Services/ SSRS )
- Extraction, Transformation & Loading / ETL (MS SQL DTS)
- Experience of training others
- Soft people skills
- Experience developing and implementing change control mechanisms
- Must have proven track record with fully integrated financial ERP / MRP systems
