Strategy & Architecture Manager Wanted!My client is a leading government organisation based in the Sydney CBD and is looking for a Strategy & Architecture Manager to come on board.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Manager Strategy and Architecture is accountable to the General Manager - Information Communications & Technology for developing, communicating and maintaining the overall Company Technology (ICT & OT) Strategy and developing and managing plans relating to the AER, the capital portfolio, enterprise architecture and information & cyber security. These delivery areas will span all aspects of information technology (IT), telecommunications and operational/grid technology (OT) for Company.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Skills:
Strategic thinking and direction setting. Ability to understand business strategy and translate into ICT/OT strategy; enterprise architecture and security requirements. Demonstrated ability to facilitate consultative strategic planning processes. Demonstrated success in advising, influencing and building positive relationships with executives and other key stakeholders across the business, operational technology, telecommunications and information technology areas. Proven leadership and people management skills in a technical environment. Highly developed consulting, negotiating and facilitation skills. Ability to provide comprehensive responses to unexpected or complex questions. Ability to understand and interpret technology trends including their applicability to the business to a non technical audience. Strong communication skills and ability to prepare executive and board submissions. Strong business and commercial focus
Experience:
Proven experience (over 10 years) in developing, communicating and operationalising an ICT strategic plan and in the development of enterprise architecture within a large and complex enterprise which includes both operational and information technologies. Experience working (over 5 years) in an IT consulting firm, large IT vendor organisation or complex business and gaining a solid understanding of client engagement and delivery. Experience (over 5 years) in developing strategy and architecture for ERP systems preferably SAP and in developing strategy and architecture for telecommunications and operational technology. Demonstrated experience in assessing the applicability of new and emerging technologies in operational and information technology to support business priorities. Demonstrated success in the development and communication of ICT and OT strategies and architecture plans that provide quantifiable business benefits and with high levels of business engagement. Experience in managing and adapting operational technology enterprise architecture within a rapidly changing business environment eg retaining flexibility to meet tactical business needs. Demonstrated success in advising, influencing and building positive relationships with Executives.
