project engineer required for a role in Swindon.My client is looking for a design team leader to Completing technical projects to support sales for both new and existing customers. This will involve producing designs and associated driving completion of those projects using both internal resources as well as contract engineering services.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the below requirements in order to be considered…
Provide Technical and Product Support to customers both internal and external.
Participate in the development of new products and take an active hands-on testing role.
Involved with Process Engineers to improve manufacturing performance and quality.
Qualification of new designs to customer standards.
Improvement of existing product designs and qualification of new suppliers.
Support for the Oracle system. Loading and maintaining parts to the system (items; routings and BOM's).
Reporting to and ultimately deputising for Technical Manager.
Daily Contact with the Technical Manager to assign/share workloads to best meet customer requirements.
Works closely with other members of the Technical Department to achieve common/team goals.
Contact with Sales, Manufacturing and Projects Departments to discuss issues relating to tenders, manufacturing and installation of products.
External Contact with suppliers of Fittings, Optical Fibre and Materials.
Direct contact with end customers, to give presentations and answer queries relating to technical aspects of the product and service offering.
