Support Analyst - Exchange Connectivity - Banking - London 6 month contract: Day rate A specialist consultancy has an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a Level 2 front office technology support team at a leading financial
institution. A Support Analyst (Unix) will be responsible for providing dedicated back end electronic trading systems application support to the global Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities and Derivatives businesses which are made up of thousands of
demanding users. The e-trading business is high-volume and as such the Support Analyst (Unix) role will suit somebody who thrives in dynamic, pressurised environments and is looking to challenge their support skills on a broad range of problems. As a
Support Analyst (Unix), you will be primarily responsible for supporting the banks market connectivity to numerous global exchanges and MTFs', which will also involve on-boarding new connections and ensuring their supportability into production. A
Support Analyst (Unix) will also work closely with business aligned teams in London to support the front office users on a range of in-house trading applications which link to electronic markets. You will also work closely with application development
groups to facilitate process improvements through direct liaison and the production of defect reports. You will have gained extensive experience within a high pressure production support position servicing a demanding customer base within a very large,
complex and mission critical application support environment. You will have supported exchange links and have demonstrable experience with 3rd party electronic connectivity platforms such as ION Marketview, FASTTRACK, EMMA etc. You will possess strong
Unix command line and scripting skills (Shell and/or Perl), network troubleshooting skills (Routers, Switches) and knowledge of the FIX (Financial Information Exchange) Protocol. Strong communication skills and a keen team playing mindset are absolutely
