Metallurgical Engineer/Materials Engineer
Contract - Initially 6 months
£20-£25 per hour
The Company
The opportunity has arisen to join leading global automotive company as a Metallurgical Engineer on a contract basis. You will be joining an innovative industry leader to contribute to product development engineering.
The Role
The Metallurgical Engineer will work within the Materials Engineering team to evaluate materials through analysis of product failure. The Metallurgical Engineer will monitor material performance through testing of raw materials and finished products. The Engineer will review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives such as straight, weight, heat resistance and cost.
The Candidate
You will have some experience in metallurgical or materials engineering, ideally educated to degree level in either of these areas. You will have knowledge of materials testing and be able to report coherently on your findings. This role will be suited to either an experienced engineer or a graduate with some industrial experience looking to develop their experience.
