My client based in Stamford, Connecticut are looking for a COBIT tester for an initial 3 month contract.The role will be within the Finance Controls Team are looking for a resource to assist with the execution of Sarbanes Oxley Effectiveness Testing in order to meet an internal deadline. This testing is solely related to the testing of Information Technology and Application controls therefore the individual must have experience in testing IT controls in accordance with SEC / PCAOB standards in accordance with the COBIT Framework. The position will be based within the Stamford Head Office and responsibilities will include testing of the controls, analyzing results and reporting to Management. The expectation will be to take a consultant's approach to assess the business' operations utilizing COBIT methodology to and responding to control deficiencies through proposed and monitored solutions.
The skillset is expected to include:
-Working knowledge of audit and accounting methodologies and principles
-Performing scoping and testing of ITGC and Application controls in accordance with the COBIT / ITIL Framework
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
-Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity
-Ability to interact with various levels of management
Position Comments: This is role specfic to Sarbanes Oxley Compliance for IT Controls.
This assignment will involve working alongside the Finance Controls team to execute SOX Effectiveness testing over Information Technology General and Application controls for meeting an internal deadline. The individual will report to the Finance Controls IT Manager and ensure appropriate validation of control effectiveness with documented evidence of testing and identified deficiencies.
