Computer Futures are looking for a Systems Administrator to join a fast growing client based in Portsmouth. We are looking for a smart, energetic and enthusiastic person to join the expanding technology team.Required skills/experience:
1+ yr Ubuntu/Debian unix based environment administration.
Apache 2.x+.
PostreSQL.
IP Networking.
IPTables.
Very comfortable in remote machines.
Able to talk to 3rd effectively customer facing skills.
Need to be flexible with working hours i.e. global clients not a shift pattern.
Systems Administration i.e. scripting and some developing.
The following skills are desirable but not essential to the role:
* Python.
* Experience with LAPP based web development/deployment.
* HTML, CSS and Javascript, experience working with a JS framework a plus. 4. Experience building web apps using Django, or other web frameworks.
* Experience with Flash/Illustrator.
* Web design experience (templating languages like Jinja a plus).
* HTML5, SVG-based graphical web applications (esp. using libraries like Raphaël).
* Previous experience at a start-up.
* Knowledge / experience working with low level APIs for Android, iPhone, or other new mobile devices.
Roll Responsibilities:
* Installing, configuring and maintaining remotely deployed equipment.
* Configuring and maintaining remotely deployed servers.
* Support for smooth running of remote deployed equipment.
