Senior Director, Regulatory Compliance, London Banking Firm

A leading banking institution in Londonis seeking a Senior Director in Regulatory Compliance to be responsible for developing, implementing and administering policies and procedures in relation to the clearing of trades. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the key focus of this role will be on ensuring that trades are compliant with EMIR regulation.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with clearing organisations as well as their respective compliance departments to ensure that the firm achieves consistent high levels of compliance and industry best practices for European firms operating globally and with reporting obligations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures which ensure compliance with the EMIR (or other similar global policy statements)
  • Resolve conflicts of interest
  • Establishing procedures for remediating non compliance issues.
  • Coordinate with the Global Chief Compliance Officer of Group and other compliance officers and staff.
  • Promote a culture of compliance across the organisation.


Experience Required:
  • Clearing and risk management experience strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive experience of theUKand EU regulatory environment
  • Experience working directly with regulatory agencies (such as ESMA, FSA, FCA).
  • Bachelors Degree required, law degree strongly preferred
  • 10 years of experience in financial services
  • 5+ years of experience with designing and maintaining compliance programs in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to interact effectively across all levels of an organization


Salary - £130,000 to £140,000 (+ highly competitive package)

Location - City ofLondon
