Job Mission
The Quality Engineers job mission is to contribute to improvement and control of the quality of the systems and Embedded software and the associated software development process.
Job Description
*Definition and implementation of systems that provide measurement data on achieved software quality and software development process adherence.
*Interpretation of resulting measurement data: identifying deviations from agreed targets, identify causes and propose corrective actions
*Providing support in the analysis of "mishaps" to determine root-causes and identify (process) improvements
*Supporting or leading (small) quality projects that implement agreed (process) improvements
*Coaching teams in (re)-gaining control of both the measured and the customer perceived quality of their software deliveries by providing instructions, presentations, refresher training, moderating reviews, etc.
The software quality engineer is required to operate both on a level defining and implementing process improvements and metrics and on a purely operational level of measuring quality, reporting findings to various groups and provide operational support to improvements.
Education
At least bachelor in software engineering or business administration. Green Belt six sigma is a plus.
Experience
*5-10 years of experience in software development.
*Preferably a background or proven working experience in software quality and software process improvement
