One of our clients, a multinational company in the pharmaceutical industry currently requires a Senior Supply Chain Demand Manager
MISSION PURPOSE
- To provide a timely, complete and accurate Global Demand Forecast for all Products and Markets, over the entire planning horizon (0-10Yrs),
as key input for capacity and supply planning decision making processes (GD & OP, GIO Strategic Plan) within the company'sIndustrial Operations;
- To support the definition, management and improvement of demand management processes, as data collection, demand analysis,reporting;
- To develop and implement models for demand analysis and forecasting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To manage the processes of the creation, review and validation of demand for Global Industrial Operations purposes
- To collect and analyse the demand over the 18 MTS - 3 Years horizonas input for GD&OP Planning process;
- To collect, analyse and organise the long term demand as input for10Years Capacity Plan process, including the New Products;
- Ensure that strategic decisions about 'upside demand' and 'market intelligence' are timely and accurately reflected into the global demand at Product and/or Market level as appropriate, in coordination with Commercial Departments, Product Teams and Customer Interface;
- To analyse demand and liaise with Commercial Functions, GSCM Customer Interface and Product Teams to continuously improve quality of data and processes;
- Proactively cooperate with GSCM departments (Customer Interface,Product Teams), Industrialization, Regulatory and Commercial departments to ensure issues affecting demand are timely and effectively managed by accountable departments;
- To provide timely and accurate reporting of the demand at SKU/product family/type of demand/market levels all along the operational and strategic horizons (up to 10 years);
- Provide to Commercial global demand when rationing is required tosupport the rationing decision process at regional level and provide output to Product teams for the implementation phase.
- To develop and implement in co-operation with IT, appropriate simulation tools to support strategic decisions.
Accountability:
- To build an accurate global demand forecast, from 18 months to 10/3/1years, coordinating the collection of demand from all customers,providing input to Global Demand & Operations (3 Years horizon)
and to the 10yrs Plan processes.
- To analyse the evolution of the demand and provide adequate feedbackto the impacted departments (Supply Planning, Product Teams) inco-operation with Commercial Affairs, Franchises and Customer Interface
(Demand Validation Monthly Meeting, Monthly Tenders/Contracts Meetings attendance).
- Complete demand with market Intelligence from Customer Interface,Commercial
- Bring SCC decisions on volumes into the Global Forecast
- Ensure that the demand is correctly loaded on the appropriate SKUsand all the figures are available at the appropriate hierarchy level(Integrated Technical Family)
- Ensure the provisional rationing supply volumes are reflected intothe systems, monitor volumes at each step of the rationing process.
- To maintain the demand management and reporting systems to allowfaster and informed D&OP decision making processes for businessClients.
- Identify and propose improvements to the demand management processes and systems, support their implementation in co-operation with IT, SCD Sand User departments involved.
- Participate into the GD&OP process for demand concerning aspects.
Complexity:
- Demand collection, analysis, reporting:
- 1300 SKUs from 120 Customers: sales/tenders for all client's affiliates, Tenders/contracts for External International Agencies(UNICEF, GAVI) and Global Alliances (Vacsera, Fiocruz).
- Range of biological products : uncertainty of demand (70% of volumes coming from tenders).
- Explosive growth of demand.
- Launch of products strategic to the client (Flu, Rotarix, Cervarix,Streptorix)
Organisation complexity:
- To maintain alignment with a number of stakeholders, promote networking and co-operation for an effective sharing and management of information.
- Evaluate if demand is meaningful compared to targeted population (birth cohorts, vaccination schedule)
Specialised Knowledge:
- BA or BS preferably in statistics or economics, master preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Commercial/Supply Chain ManagementManufacturing environment.
- Experience in Microsoft platforms, SAP and Manugistics.
- Knowledge of modelling.
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated capability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
