Description
Our client, a major bank urgently requires a Financial Analyst to provide technical support for the reconciliation of ledger provisions and forecast modelling.
Provisioning
* Technical support for provisions in operational reconciliation with the Financial Ledger
* Ensure provision models are tracked and updated with required frequency, for both redress and other costs incurred
Forecasting
* Support & performance of preliminary and ad-hoc analysis
* Initial assessment of total risk exposure, including development of forecasting models, related to emerging and existing product issues
* Periodic re-assessment of risk exposure to ensure its on-going validity and comparison with actuals, against pre-defined tolerances
Reporting
* Develop and maintenance of formal documentation of risk assessment methodologies and associated outputs
Essential
* Excellent mathematical skills
* Qualified Accountant
* Financial modelling expertise
* Financial Services background
* Ability to quickly absorb and understand complex data/issues and to present key conclusions
* Ability to simultaneously manage risk assessment relating to different projects
* Flexibility to quickly and effectively adapt in an evolving regulatory environment
* Excellent communication skills
