Description
Systems Engineers required for a leading Aerospace company based in Cheltenham to perform full Systems life cycle development and level A systems verification activities on commercial and military aerospace applications. Working on Avionic/Display/Power programmes the successful candidate will be involved in the generation of Systems requirements derived from the existing Sub Systems Requirements, systems design, re-design, development, verification and test.
Role and activities:
- Software/Hardware design, development, verification and test activities performed to DO-178/DO-254/ARP 4754 and DO-160
- Communications Involving ARINC 429 and 664
- V&V tasks to review test scripts against doors based requirements
- Inside the box, hands on technical activities
- Related documentation
Knowledge and Experience:
- Systems Requirements capture and generation
- DOORS
- Communication protocols, ARINC Protocols )
- Experience working on displays, civil or military
- Experience working on power programmes
- Aerospace systems design, development, verification and test to safety critical standards
- Experience with software/hardware requirements and design
- Configuration control/management
- Communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexible, hard working and professional attitude
Ideally with knowledge of any of the following avionic systems:
- Electrical power systems
- Display systems
- Digital control systems experience
- Navigation Guidance
- Primary Flight Displays (PFD)
- Aircraft Power Distribution systems experience
- IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics)
