My client, a globally recognised name in the web services industry, is currently seeking a Java developer for a 6 month contract role within their web application development team in their HQ in Dublin.
You will be working within a team building SOA based web solutions in a fast paced Agile development environment.
Responsibilities:
-Creates Java based applications to provide relevant data to our customers
-Looks for innovative ways to optimize the application for scale and performance
-Communicates effectively in both verbal (day-to-day discussions, team meetings) and written forms (requirements and design specifications) with local and remote team members.
-Helps in effectively decomposing feature implementation into associated tasks for planning & tracking purposes as part of a delivery team.
-Assists in assessing project risks associated with development activities.
-Creates and/or maintain appropriate design artifacts and documentation to enable broad team participation
-Submits and engages in online code reviews
You Should have:
-Proven experience in Java development
-Experience with ExtJs V4 and NoSQL
-Demonstrated experience working within a global team on highly demanding projects
It is highly desirable to have a 3rd level degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related field.
