For our customer in Brussels, we are looking for an expert in application service management

Ensure service management of a portfolio of business applications

  • ensuring application and related functionalities remains available and working as expected by the business.
  • managing related service and change requirements, ensuring they are answered on time, scope, budget and quality

 Main Activities

Work closely with application business owner, ensuring operational life cycle management of the application:

  • support and coordinate implementation of business requirements, business application distribution and packaging, user population monitoring, license compliance and version management
  • Work together with architecture in order to maintain the application portfolio and related content under control
  • Manage external and internal service providers in planning and controlling of application maintenance and development services, ensuring they are delivered in quality and according to contracted services.
  • Supplier contract management: participate to the development and maintenance of service contract and project statement of work, define the service content and ensuring they are in line with business service requirements.
  • Promote best practices and recommend improvement initiatives to increase application performance, customers' template usage adherence and utilization efficiency.
  • Application capacity, change and risk management, ensuring application remain available and continue working according to agreed business expectations.
  • Ensure transition of development to business as usual services: knowledge acquisition, solution documentation.
  • Actively participate as service expert and change coordinator to projects and development activities related to application portfolio you are responsible for.
  • Support related user community and business stakeholders, maintaining knowledge level, providing advice and training, organizing workshops, coordinating implementation of change testing effort.
  • Manage dedicated related projects and ensure deliverables in time, scope and budget.

Education

Degree, preferably Master (minimum Bachelor), within Business Administration/ Engineering/Computer Science with minimum 5 years relevant professional experience. Long relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.

Skills

  • Minimum 3 Years experience in IT service management
  • Additional technical/functional experience in application installation/usage, desktop management, application packaging, DB or O/S admin, SAP, license management will be highly appreciated
  • Experience in ITIL processes, asset management, IT financial management and contract management is a plus
  • Proven ability to assess business requirements, develop solution alternatives, produce      design documents and implement/test approved design.
  • Proven track record of IT operations, service delivery and sourcing
  • Combined knowledge and interest mix between business and technology
  • Strong analytical skills combined with good level of communication and training skills.
  • Project management experience      
  • Ability to work independently, defining targets and prioritizing tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Structured, customer service minded, team-player, proactive and highly committed
  • English (fluent written and spoken).
  • Other European languages are a plus
