Building services Autocad design engineer required, Gloucester

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a design engineer within an attractive renewable energy company. The role will encompass all aspects of electrical and mechanical design, such as detailed design of renewable heat installations, particularly within existing infrastructure. The successful candidate will be directly supporting the Design Engineering Manager in detailed design and drafting of schematics, plant room / site layouts, and mechanical/electrical design of thermal systems and heat pumps.

Key duties of the position include:

* Design of renewable heat installations.
* Calculations of flow rate, heat, current etc.
* Detailed design / drawing in compliance with installation standards and spec
* Assisting with equipment selection
* Identifying new technology and potential opportunities
* Liaison with other teams within the company, in addition to external consultants and contractors

In order to apply for this role, you must possess or be able to demonstrate the following:

* Experience in design of elements in renewable energy technologies. Knowledge of district heat networks and Renewable Heat Incentive would be a strong advantage.
* Minimum qualification at HNC/Degree Level. Other applicants will not be considered.
* Appropriate building services / renewable energy accreditation/qualifications.
* Knowledge of CDM legislation, pressurised system standards, CIBSE selection
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD
