Description
A leading defence client has a new requirement for a Systems Engineer for an initial period of 6 months. Please note that due to the nature of this position, candidates must currently hold or be eligible to attain a UK SC-level Security Clearance
An engineer is required to work as part of a dynamic application team that supplies, installs, tunes and tests hybrid-electric drive systems for public transport buses.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of:
- Applying mechanical and/or electrical skills within the automotive industry
- Performing Engineering Tests in support of system development, system integration and vehicle certification activities, including type approval for compliance with European Union regulations and directives
- Performing tuning of vehicles to provide an optimal solution for fuel economy, emissions and driving performance
- Performing investigations into in-service equipment failures to determine root cause
The contract is initially for 6 months with a view to extending further.
