Description

We are currently looking for customer engineers with strong Linux/Shell Scripting skills who are technically IMS strong. You must have solid IMS Core knowledge and be flexible and hardworking in your approach to projects.

Please note - my client is ONLY accepting applications from candidates who are already living in France.

Main duties/responsibilities

- Preparing installations and upgrades - which includes writing upgrade procedures and test plans
- Installing software on customer systems
- Working with the customer technical staff to integrate the systems into the customer network and support the customer's testing
- Running the designated acceptance testing with the customer to verify that the product is working as specified
- Communicating with customers to establish details of problems/requirements
- Investigating and resolving customer problems within SLA
- Working with other teams in the company to resolve technical problems
- Producing system documentation for the customer and support team
- Updating the call tracking system, providing status updates and action plans, providing customer resolution reports for issues

The successful applicant must be prepared to travel to customer sites/offices when required.

Desired Skills & Experience

Essential skills

- Linux/Shell Scripting
- Harware and virtualisation (ATCA, SUN, HP)
- Solid experience in GSM protocols or/and VoIP (SIP/DNS/DIAMTER/H.248)
- Good experience in IMS (Core/Messaging application Servers/voice application Servers) OR/AND GSM Core (MSC, SMSC, UNC.)
