Description

The contract is with a consultancy to be on assignment to a large European site in Brussels as follows:-

The tasks that are to be performed include:

  • Service desk agent, incident agent and analyst, problem agent and analyst (first and second-line support).
  • Recording and tracking incident information and problem information in the incident management system used.
  • Incident analysis, first and second-line customer liaison.
  • Monitoring incidents and problems.
  • Keeping customers informed on incident status and progress.
  • Dispatching issues to the relevant person/team
  • Draft technical content for knowledge database.
  • Help with training courses about information systems.
  • Production of documentation for users.
  • Providing support on technical aspects for the staff of LLP National Agencies on the tools for data collection and validation, managed by the European Commission.
  • Assistance regarding the training of administrators and users of the system
  • Assistance regarding the deployment and configuration of the current systems.
  • Assist with evaluating and testing products delivered by other teams to ensure proper integration.
  • Participation in meetings.

REQUIREMENTS

Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment. Very good communication skills. Very good writing skills in English. Conversational level of French is a plus.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Extensive hands-on experience with MS/Office products, especially MS/Access and MS/Excel

Knowledge on XML-related technologies (Schema's, Xpath)

Analytical skills and good aptitude in reporting.
