Requirements:

Hands-on experience with anisotropic velocity model building and be interested in working on challenging 3C, 4C and Ocean Bottom Seismic (cables or nodes) data sets.

Job Profile:

Supporting Multi-component Depth Imaging processing projects globally and working with Research teams developing and testing innovative Multi-component model building and depth imaging workflows

Evaluate and interpret geophysical and seismic data together with geologic evidence to provide best-of-class results and services.

You will provide expertise to locate appraisal and development wells, analyze interpretations, and work is performed within multidisciplinary teams, mainly in client offices.

Responsibilities:
  • Processing of 3C, 4C, OBC/OBN data
  • Testing and implementing PP & PS depth imaging workflows
  • Facilitate technology transfer of depth processing workflows to local production processing groups. May include travel to different sites worldwide to support MC Depth imaging projects.
  • Technical project management and leadership are key responsibilities.
  • Involvement, Interaction and Communication with Clients



Qualifications:
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in geophysics, earth sciences or physical sciences.
  • The ideal candidate should be a minimum senior geophysicist level with a good knowledge of time processing of land & marine data and with at least 4/5 years experience in depth processing.
    Experience in multi-component technology is desirable but not required.
  • We are looking for an inquisitive and innovative person, able to manage continuous improvement of methodologies. Keen aptitude for analyzing and problem solving are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills are required as it is necessary to liaise with internal/external clients and colleagues on technical matters.
  • Familiar with geologic and geophysical portfolio and services of Information Systems.
  • Understanding of direct and geostatistical modelling techniques (neural networks, classical statistical methods, etc.) at application level.
