We invite you to become a part of the biggest videogame studio in Latin America. In Gameloft we develop titles from owned IPs such as Asphalt, N.O.V.A., Real Football, Modern Combat and also official game licenses such as Ice Age, My Little Pony, Epic, and much more.
Gameloft is looking for a Semi Senior Game Designer to join the studio in Buenos Aires and become a part of the Game Evolution area.
The Game Evolution team is in charge of maintaining and updating the titles on the iOS platform by performing periodic updates to these games in order to maintain and improve their quality. To do so, it is necessary to make modifications to current content and also adding new features.
The Game designer position implies designing the modifications that will be done to the videogame to accomplish the goals given by the Local and GE Producer.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the local development team to design creative, functional and efficient solutions production wise to meet the objectives requested by the GE ProducerCreate and keep updated clear and focused design documents throughout the entire production cycleAdapt the initial proposals to solve the problems that can arise during production which can render the original design not feasible anymoreAnalyze the impact of previous updates in common KPI metrics for social games, and adapt future designs accordinglyKeep a constant drive to stay up to date with the current design trends in the social games industry. An active knowledge of leading titles throughout different platforms and markets is a must
Requirements:
Complete understanding of the freemium business modelAbility to identify the weak points on a live title and the optimal ways to solve them, taking into account all the corresponding variables to foresee the impact and consequences of the designed solutionsFamiliarity with all design aspects of the game (UI, gameplay, balance, economy, etc..) and their corresponding pipeline concerns to match short iteration cyclesStrong verbal and written communication skillsVersatile knowledge in software tools that can help to improve the communication with the team through screen mock ups, animations, flowcharts. It does not need to be pretty, but it must be effective to convey ideas.Positive team work attitudeMinimum 2 years of experience in the games industry, most desirably in social and.Personal projects or independent work is a plus
