Senior Workforce/HR Advisor - Milton Keynes - CIPD - TUPE - Employee Relations

The post holder will provide professional Human Resources (HR) support, advice and guidance services to managers and employees of the organisation. Duties will include assisting managers where needed on all areas of HR including conduct, work performance and sickness absence issues and to support line managers in developing the organisation as a "great employer" by helping to develop a team culture by building on leadership and management capability.

Key Responsibility Areas
1. Advise employees and managers on Employee Relations (ER) best practice ensuring that advice given complies with good employment practice, employment legislation and internal standards and
policies.

2. To lead and/participate fully in service improvement projects or specific programmes of work eg
TUPE transfers, change projects and policy implementation (as and when required).

3. Advise and assist line managers on all aspects of employee relations including employment legislation, case law, performance management, capability and attendance management.

4. Provide HR advice in formal hearings and appeals including Disciplinary, Absence Performance
Management and Grievance Meetings

Essential
- CIPD Qualified or previous relevant experience
- Demonstrable experience of working in a senior HR role
- Able to build highly effective and collaborative working relationships with line managers and colleagues.
- Persuasive and credible influencing and negotiating skills.
- Diagnostic and advisory skills - the ability to analyse a problem/situation,think creatively and advise on a range of options.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
- Able to coach line managers in order to develop their management capability.
- Able to present and interpret people and Management Information data.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of working in an operational HR role.
- Experience of managing an operational HR service.
- Creating and delivering informative presentations/training.
- Experience of undertaking HR project work.
- Employee relations experience, including consultation and negotiation with trade unions.
