Description

Unbound is a London based startup that is shaking up the world of publishing by connecting authors and readers.

We use crowd funding to let readers decide which books get published. Authors pitch their ideas directly, and if they gain enough support, their book will be written. Unbound shares 50% of the profit from book sales with the authors (a significantly better deal than they would get from a traditional publisher).

Our founders are have built their careers in publishing and the media, and are known for their work on titles such as QI, Pirates of the Caribbean, Crap Towns, and The Idler.

Our website has not changed much since our launch two years ago, and we're now looking for someone to help us give it a lick of paint.

  • Great experience with / knowledge of Responsive Web Design
  • Experienced at coding HTML5 and CSS
  • Knowledge of CSS compilers such as SASS or Less
  • Strong English language communication skills (written and verbal)

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Git to version control your code

We're aiming to start the project in September. Location is flexible and you can work from our office in Soho (central London) or remotely.
