A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a leading Pharmaceutical company who are seeking to appoint a Quality Manager to join their expanding Quality Department. Based in the South East, the forward thinking privately owned organisation have a fantastic reputation for manufacturing innovative Pharmaceutical products and Medical Devices.Reporting directly to the Head of Quality the successful candidate would be required to assume the following roles and responsibilities:
- Manage the site supplier audit program and take Lead auditor responsibility for API and other external audits
- Manage all aspects of supplier quality management for service providers and the purchase of starting materials
- Work with Head of Purchasing to effectively manage suppliers, improving supplier quality
- Work closely with the QC Manager and Head of QA, deputising for the Head of Quality where required
- Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management system to meet Company, Customer and Regulatory agreed realistic expectations.
- Drive continual improvement of QMS, product quality and processes
- Identify efficiency and quality improvements in own area of responsibility and implement required changes
- Responsible for the maintenance of MIA and MA's
- Coaching of GMP principles throughout the business
- Manage, support and motivate the team to help them achieve their objectives.
- Participate in and take the lead in customer audits
The ideal candidate would be degree qualified with experience of quality systems, non-sterile liquids and creams manufacture, and must have previous management experience in a QA role. Candidates must have worked in the Pharma,or Beauty, Cosmetic and Fragrance industry to be considered.
