My client, a prestigious global, Tier 1 Bank in London is looking for an Infrastructure Solution Architect to join their team for a long term, rolling 6 month contract.Role: Infrastructure Solution Architect
Rate: £650/day
Location: London - Canary Wharf / Docklands
Duration: 6 Months Rolling (long-term)
Technical
Have a system engineering background and the ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement. Provide technical thought leadership in evaluation of new technologies to meet business requirements and influence key stakeholders leading to adoption. Have in-depth conceptual functional and non-functional knowledge of:
* Networking (Cisco, TCP/UDP, Broadcast/Multicast, LAN/WAN)
* Server Operating systems internals, benchmarking and performance tuning (Linux, Windows, Solaris) & CPU Microarchitectures (Intel, AMD, SPARC)
* Storage (EMC SAN - FC, FCoE, SRDF; NetApp NAS - CIFS, NFS)
* Databases (Oracle & MS SQL; VCS & MSCS)
Please note you MUST HAVE experience in all of the above areas (Networking, Storage, Databases, Operating Systems). Any additional skills with Middleware, Market Data, Web Application Servers, Java etc would be useful but not essential.
Please note you do not need to have any previous banking experience to be considered for this role.
