Description
Argyll Scott International is recruiting a UK Commercial Finance Manager for a fantastic Retail business based in Central London. The business has great offices overlooking the London Eye.
The position will pay between £300 to £350 per day
The role is 3-6 months with a start date of 1st September 2013
Key Responsibilities
Delivering the period end reporting process for the UK business and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the figures reported
Work closely with the UK Commercial Analyst to ensure that period end processes have been completed correctly and any issues have been resolved.
Ensure that UK Commercial controlled balance sheet accounts (eg A&P and other accruals) are correctly stated.
Develop and communicate the budget/forecast timetable and ensure that activities to achieve the budget/forecast are down
Working with senior management to create "top down" forecast to give guidance to sales teams
Extend the current quarterly forecasting process into a rolling forecast (with assistance from Logistics, Sales etc.)
Control a £6.5m overheads budget, ie producing budget and forecast of spend for year (in consultation with budget holders)
Communication of actual spend against forecast to budget holders & challenge to ensure that spend is correctly classified and within agreed limits.
