An interesting and challenging new role has just opened up working for a, well established market leader within the Automation and process market in theEast Midlandsarea. The role is a permanent position meaning that career progression up and across the organization will be a possibility. My client is an international leader exporting 85% of there products.In the role you will be expected to design tools, invent and modify current component parts. Specific stress design tasks will be delegated to yourself by the project Engineer and you will be responsible for calculations, specification, equipment selection, trouble shooting problems and communicating progress to the Engineering team. This is a "hands on" position!
In the role you will also be responsible for:
- BOM's
- Commission products
- Plan layout's
- Bespoke equipment design
- Assemblies
- Checking (FEA) stress design work in accordance with company procedures
- Assist the project discipline engineer in planning for adequate resources
- To liaise with other disciplines associated with the project
- Provide support to other department heads as required
- To comply with company Policy with regard to safety and environment
You will need:
- Background in Stress Engineering (FEA) in Nuclear, Rotating Equipment, Precision tooling or CNC Design, Conveyors, Pick & Place, Material Process, Process Machinery design
- Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent.
- AutoCAD/Solidworks (Other 3D packages will be considered)
