Finance Manager - We have two finance Manager roles available. One in Northamptonshire one in Bedford.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Financial management Financial advice Draft and update financial strategies. Development of Council objectives. Monitor new legislation capital budget monitoring process Project and Value for Money support. Travel between buildings and external meetings. Attend evening meetings as and when required.
Person Specification
Minimum of five years experience of Local Government Finance, or similar. CCAB qualified with at least two years experience in a senior accountancy position and demonstrable continuing professional development (CPD). Knowledge of the corporate budgeting requirements in a major organisation
Personal Attributes
Numerate and analytical. Able to prepare and undertake formal presentations. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of computerised financial and management information systems and their application to the Local Government Environment. (Finance Manager/Northampton/Bedfordshire)
