IMMEDIATE need for a Workload Placement Coordinator with extensive Data Center experience! This is a 12+ month contract position located in Toronto, Canada.

DUTIES:
1. Qualified individual will be supporting a Global Data Center Program and working with various Program and Project Managers.
2. Workload Placement Coordinator will be responsible for verification of compliance with hardware specification requirements including density management, installation policies and best practices for hardware targeted to be placed in the strategic Data Centers within a defined country and/or region.
3. Work in conjunction with the Data Center Managers and take ownership of an inventory and administrative tracking tool and enforcing other policies and procedures required occupying space in strategic Data Centers.
4. Data Center Transformation Workload Placement (WLP) Governance and WLP Request life cycle management in defined Data Centers.
5. Ensure standard adherence to WLP process and act as an operational Interface to various stakeholders.
6. Responsible for grid location mapping.
7. Ensure density mapping per pre-defined standards and provide management reporting as required.
8. Data Center Transformation Capacity Management, DOMS inventory tool on-boarding in defined Data Centers.
9. Perform Capacity Modeling and ensure capacity reports are updated with Data Center activities.

REQUIRED:
1. Must have experience and have specialized knowledge in Data Center hardware planning, installing (racking/stacking/cabling) in relevant technologies/devices within scope including server, storage, network, and Mainframe.
2. Project Management skills and advanced aptitude using Excel spreadsheets.
3. Must be a quick learner, adaptable and flexible to the work environment and possess excellent communication and teaming skills.
4. Advanced MS Excel skills with the ability to manipulate complex Excel documents.
5. In-depth knowledge of multiple hardware technologies.
6. Solid working knowledge of Data Center environments and infrastructure, network and telecommunications protocols and platforms, and disaster recovery.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.
8. Excellent analysis, problem-solving, organizational, team building, conflict management and time management skills.

EDUCATION:
Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical field. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
