Job summary: The primary purpose of the roles is to provide business analysis skills to IT projects for my client. Reporting to a project manager, this will involve a spectrum of business analysis skills including: Business case development and documentation. Business requirements scoping, analysis, definition and specification. Business process and procedure design and re-engineering. Liaison with business users and, as appropriate, vendors. Generation of accurate and timely status reporting. Qualifications, Skills amp; Competencies: A third-level (or equivalent) qualification in a numerate discipline A proven track record in business analysis roles Demonstrable experience in the financial services sector PRINCE2 (or equivalent) certification would be an advantage. Desirable Attributes: Analytical and deductive reasoning skills, particularly in the areas of requirements identification, definition and specification A self-starter with initiative and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a small team environment Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including negotiation skills Ability to collaborate with and co-ordinate with business users and various IT specialist units Successful candidates will possess several of the following skill sets: Business requirements scoping, analysis, definition and specification Business process and procedure design and re-engineering. Project administration including structured issues management and change request procedures. SQL in a Relational Database Management System environment (preferably Oracle). Relational data modelling and/or dimensional modelling. Systems and data integration and data analytics. Test management skills, from the development of test strategies through to design, execution and sign-off of test cases. End user reporting, data discovery and BI tools such as Business Objects, Oracle OBI, Crystal Reports etc. Data Quality Management. Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint Successful candidates will have experience of some of these areas: Treasury management and dealing systems. EFT settlement systems and/or other electronic payment systems EIS/MIS systems. HR systems. Insurance claims management and or risk root-cause analysis systems. Public sector procurement procedures and/or RFP writing and/or assessment of tenders. Front Office and Back Office procedures in a financial institution. Compliance and audit functions in a regulated environment. Data classification and data-retention policy development. Disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
