Description
My client, a QLD Government department, is looking for a Senior DB2 Mainframe consultant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to combine their technical skills with consultancy/project management and/or line management depending on client requirements and give their own personal direction in analysing the performance of client's infrastructure environments and recommending improvements.
Working in a close knit team of technical specialists you will define technical architecture, coordinate production implementation, assess new and emerging technologies and provide ongoing technical support against service level agreements.
The ideal candidate will have the following technical skills and experience:
- DB2 for MVS Version 8 or higher
- DB2 3rd Party tools (CA/BMC/PST)
- QMF
- Database replication tools - Mainstar/VCR
- Ingress EDBC 2.3 or Higher
- Performance Monitors including Insight and Bufferpool Tool
- JCL
- REXX
- CLIST
- Automation tools such as OPS/MVS II and Control/M
- Backup software such as Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) and DFSMShsm
- TCP/IP & SNA/SNI Networking
- IBM Mainframe Data Communications Hardware (OSA & 3745)
- CA Solve/Access
- z/OS 1.7 or Higher
- Performance monitors including CA and IBM products.
- RACF for z/OS 1.7 or Higher Security
