Scope:
National Functions Financial Planning & Analysis Team is the Program Office Finance team responsible for providing timely and actionable information, analysis and insights to senior leadership to enable critical decision-making and meeting performance objectives.
The Financial Consultant will be part of the budgeting and performance tracking & analysis team which is responsible for budgeting, monthly forecasting and monthly performance diagnosis/analytics.

He or she will analyze actual and forecasted national functions financial performance and key performance indicators, summarize analysis results and frame discussions for presentation to leadership.

He or she will also support the national functions budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process and assist in providing some operational financial support to smaller organizations within national functions.

The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills for partnering with national functions stakeholders, high energy and flexibility to handle a fast-paced, evolving environment, and strong Excel skills for analysis and modelling for varying senior leadership audiences.

Requirements:

BA in Finance or Accounting required plus minimum 8+ years of direct relevant experience..
Regularly contributes to the development of new financial analysis concepts, techniques, and standards.
Expert proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheet applications, including advanced functions such as graphics, pivot tables, macros and database management.
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis policies, practices and systems.
Thorough knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting principles, practices and systems
Working knowledge of TM1 financial database application.
Extensive knowledge of several or all of the following: general finance theories and methodologies, discounted cash flow analysis, cost/benefit analysis, feasibility studies, large scale business planning, financial modelling and project management.
Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with Health Care industry.

Job Description:

Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.

Participates in the planning and development of national functions consolidated budgets.

Assists in developing performance monitoring process and coordinating compilation, interpretation and presentation of monitoring information.

Prepares PowerPoint presentations for varying senior leadership audiences.

Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.

Interface with national function FP&A teams and functional stakeholders in analysis efforts.

Provides project and analytical decision support services or technical expertise for a broad array of financial and operational issues.

Responsible for more complex multi-faceted projects and analyses across functional areas.

Supports the team in the budget process completion, high level reviews and conducting analyses on consolidated views of national functions

Conducts or participates in complex projects where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of factors.

Data analyst duties, eg assists in the research, analysis, and remediation of moderately complex data issues that directly impacts reporting and analysis.

Work is accomplished without considerable direction.

Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives and performance requirements have been met.

Provide operational finance support to select national functions organizations to include Treasury and Finance Admin/Finance Business Support Services, including preparing accounting entries
