I am currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a team of Project Managers in the day to day management and mentoring capacity and also support the Director, Installation in the roll out of Department Quality Improvement initiatives. .Ideally I am looking for candidates who will be able to lead from the front.
Key Deliverables include
* Work closely with the Bids and Solutions / Sales teams on submissions prior to formal Contract Signature identifying and managing any significant risks alongside the Bids / Solutions team.
* Carry out detailed Project Risk Assessments; prepare Risk Response Planning in liaison with other stakeholders.
* Manage the project plan and ensure that it is fully up to date and available to all stakeholders.
* Be the prime point of contact between the Customer and GMSL for the contracted project in conjunction with the Clients nominated representative.
* Manage contracted project according to established procedures; these may vary according to the nature of the project, i.e. subsea cable maintenance, installation, marine renewables, defence, survey, Oil and Gas, Power Cables.
* Report on project performance internally (and externally as required) at frequent & regular intervals, using dedicated Project Accountant & software.
* Work with the Director in rolling out internal Project Delivery Quality Improvements.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
* Thorough experience and knowledge of the GMSL Project Management methodology.
* Proven experience working within a cross-functional environment
* Thorough knowledge of the marine engineering industry, encompassing Telecoms, Power, Oil and Gas and other core and non-core marine sectors
* Strong and demonstrable Project Management skills
* Relevant degree or education consistent with good analytical capability
* Results-orientated individual with a desire to improve performance
* Relevant track record for work in the offshore oil, gas, telecom and/or power sector.
