Senior Expert in OpenEdge - Java, Oracle, SQL, EJB's, XML, JMS, OpenEdge

We are currently looking for a Senior Expert in Open Edge based applications experienced with OpenEdge (Progress) technology. The role will demand skills in Oracle database, SQL and PL/SQL. As well as this, we are looking experience with EJB's, XML technologies and JMS. The successful OpenEdge expert will support the technical design of future and existing applications including their interfaces with other technologies eg Java. The successful candidate would be working with the IT Investment Funds Services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To provide recommendations on the deployment and configuration of existing OpenEdge based applications in Production.
  • To support the technical design of future and existing OpenEdge based applications, including their interfaces with other technologies (Java)
  • To provide advices and  best practices to the development process of OpenEdge based applications

 Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • Integration Partner referenced with PROGRESS
  • Experience with Oracle database, SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with EJBs, XML technologies, JMS
  • Ability to work in an international environment
  • Good written and spoken English.
