A Customer Services/Service Desk Technician is required for a 6 month contract (likely to go perm) based near Southampton.

Working within the central helpdesk team of a busy IT and Customer Services Department, you will be providing general telephone support including 1st Line Support (Hardware & Software).

Responsibilities will include providing a high level of Customer Service and call handling to end users including call logging/basic trouble-shooting - remote fixes and escalating more complex issues to the 2nd line support team. This role is ideal for someone with experience of working within a Customer Services/Call Centre environment who has an interest in progressing their career within a Helpdesk/Service Desk/IT environment. Technical skills required for this role are basic IT and computer knowledge.

This position is to start ASAP and has the potential to become a permanent appointment for the right candidate. This position will pay £10 + holiday pay (paye) or £13 (Ltd/Umbrella) per hour.
