We’re seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Front-End Developer to join our team in crafting some of the finest sites on the web.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Working collaboratively with our highly skilled design team to turn designs into high quality HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Participating in client meetings
  • Meeting internal and client deadlines
  • Keeping updated on new front-end development methods and technologies
  • Communicating effectively in both written and verbal interactions with the team and clients


  • THE REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years front-end development experience
  • Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Git
  • Standards-compliant code/cross-browser compatible code (back to IE 7)—plus knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices and techniques
  • Experienced and competent in responsive web design practices
  • Experience with device-/browser-specific testing and debugging
  • Experience with Photoshop
  • Experience working with clients directly (in person meetings, conference calls, email)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once


  • IT’S AN ADDED BONUS IF YOU...
  • Are familiar with SCSS syntax and concepts behind OOCSS and BEM
  • Have experience using a Javascript MVC Library, especially Backbone.js
  • Have managed your own studio or solo/freelance practice
  • Have design sensibilities
  • Can bring existing clients to the table who fit our ethos
  • Live in NYC (not required, but preferred)
