FanBoom is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer who will be responsible for leading the ongoing development of new features and maintenance of existing ones for our WordPress multisite based application.Key goals include developing product improvements and scaling the website while maintaining consistent site up-time and fast page-load times.
We are looking for a dependable WordPress developer, who is also very comfortable with front-end coding and with MySQL. The role involves managing the development process and working with the CEO and COO as well as other developers.
This is a hands-on role and the lead developer will ideally have a minimum 3 years of experience at a significant WordPress-based website or a portfolio of exceptional WordPress sites. The ideal candidate will ideally be based in the UK, however workers from other locations will be considered provided they are able to demonstrate considerable experience and ideally able to work to a GMT timezone.
The chosen candidate will have a solid understanding of modern JavaScript and object-oriented PHP and be able to maintain, improve and extend the WordPress-powered SaaS.

This person also needs to be a great communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical people, who writes clean, maintainable, secure, performant code and can come up with smart feature ideas. They should have experience of working with large code-bases and they need to be comfortable on the command line.

The ideal person keeps up to date with the latest developments in WordPress, PHP and JavaScript and has an online coding profile of some sort.
