System Administration and Software Deployment Technician , Alicante Spain
We require English and/or Spanish speaking System Software Administration and Deployment Technician with min 3 years experience for our client in Alicante for an assignment to end 2013, renewable for one year, starting in September 2013. Shift work required. Great location on Spanish coast.
SKILLS
- Expert in operating system installation and configuration (CentOS/RHEL)
- Hands on experience with VMware virtual products and automatic provisioning
- Some software development experience
- Experience in deploying J2EE applications to WebLogic and JBoss AS clusters
- Familiar with configuration management across multiple environments
- Good experience with Scripting and version control (Subversion and Git)
- Mastering or strong will to learn the Puppetlabs IT Automation tools
- Experience in IT security, Single Sign On (Active Directory, CAS), SSL, SSH
- Experience in installing and configuring monitoring tools (Nagios, BMC Patrol)
- Basic experience in installing databases, backups and SQL script execution
Experience with any of the following would be an advantage (but not essential):
- Atlassian Suite (Jira, Greenhopper, Crowd, Fisheye, Crucible)
- Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Sonatype Nexus, Junit, Cactus, Selenium, JMeter
- Marionette Collective, Cobbler, Pre-boot eXecution Environment (PXE)
- Liquibase, DbMaintain, Flyway, DbDeploy, Informix, Oracle, MySQL
- Cloudstack
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Development, Architecture, QA and Infrastructure teams
- Defending the values of DevOps against the traditional approach in silos
- Pairing with the Build Manager to define the development life cycle and processes
- Installing and managing the Continuous Integration and Delivery environments
- Developing and maintaining deployment scripts and associated configuration
- Implementing the quality gates necessary for quality control
- Be the central point-of-contact for CI infrastructure support in Development
Other skills/requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of IT professional experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment
LANGUAGES
- Fluent in English and/or Spanish (both a significant benefit).
- Other additional European languages would be an asset.
